I do not interface directly with health insurance companies in order to protect my sanity and ability to provide the best possible care to my patients. I can, however, provide a “superbill” or coded receipt that will be accepted by insurance companies for reimbursement depending on the specifics of your individual plan. Payment is due at the time of service and it is your responsibility to know whether your health insurance plan covers acupuncture “out of network.” Patients self-submit to their insurance companies, and many of my patients are able to receive reimbursement from their plan.
